Under black-and-white film, flowers bloom quietly in profusion. There is no noisy color, only layered, interlaced petals and branches. The clamor of the world is shut out by tonality, and the flowers sway freely. In the out-of-focus light and shadow where reality and illusion intertwine, I capture the quiet living posture of plants, and amid plain black and white, reveal a calm tenderness like mono no aware, feeling the beauty of a fleeting blooming season.
